# Terms of use

The rules for using ClassicalConnect, for musicians, ensembles and organisations.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

## 1. Who we are

ClassicalConnect (classicalconnect.eu) is an initiative of Kyzoe, Vlaanderenstraat 23/0401, 8400 Oostende, Belgium, enterprise and VAT number BE 0885.138.658 ("we", "us"), in collaboration with [Klassiek Centraal](https://klassiek-centraal.be). You can reach us at [contact@classicalconnect.eu](mailto:contact@classicalconnect.eu).

These terms apply to everyone who visits ClassicalConnect or creates an account. How we handle personal data is explained in our [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/).

## 2. What ClassicalConnect does

ClassicalConnect is a directory where organisations find professional classical musicians and ensembles and send them requests. We also list organisations, venues and international competitions.

We only forward requests. We are not an agency: we do not negotiate for anyone, we are not a party to agreements between users, and we do not handle fees for concerts or other work. Whether you work together, and on what terms, is between you and the other party.

## 3. Accounts and verification

- You can create an account as a musician, an ensemble or an organisation. You must be at least 18. If you register an ensemble or organisation, you must be allowed to act on its behalf.
- Give correct, up-to-date information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
- Every new account confirms its e-mail address. Our team then reviews the profile before it goes live. If an organisation gives a VAT number, we check it in the European Commission's VIES system.
- We may refuse or remove an account, for example when information cannot be verified or seems misleading.

## 4. Your profile

- You keep the rights to everything you add to your profile: texts, photos, links, repertoire and CV. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show, store and technically adapt that content (for example, resize photos) to run and promote ClassicalConnect, for as long as it is on the platform.
- Only add content you are allowed to use, and credit photographers where required. Do not add other people's personal data without their permission.
- Profiles must describe real, professional activity in classical music. Do not make misleading claims about your training, prizes or engagements.

## 5. Profiles from Klassiek Centraal

Some profiles were created from information that is already public on [Klassiek Centraal](https://klassiek-centraal.be). They are marked "Not claimed yet" and cannot receive requests. If such a profile is about you, you can claim it through the link on the profile or in our invitation e-mail, and then manage it as your own. If you do not want the profile, let us know and we will remove it.

## 6. Sending and receiving requests

- Only approved accounts can send requests, and only to verified musicians and ensembles.
- Commercial organisations need an active Business or Business Pro plan to send requests. Non-profit and aid organisations, musicians and ensembles send requests for free.
- We send your request to the recipient by e-mail, together with your profile name and e-mail address so they can reply to you directly. A copy is stored on the platform.
- Use requests only for real assignments, such as concerts, recordings, teaching and events. No advertising, mass mailings, or offensive or discriminatory messages.
- A daily limit applies; the current limit is shown on the [pricing page](/pricing/). We may lower the limit or block sending if requests are misused.
- Contact details you receive through a request may only be used to deal with that request.
- We do not guarantee that you will receive replies or assignments.

## 7. Plans, prices and payment

- A Basic profile for musicians and ensembles is free. Premium (musicians and ensembles), Business and Business Pro (organisations) are paid yearly plans. Current prices are on the [pricing page](/pricing/) and are shown excluding VAT.
- You pay the first year online through Mollie. Your plan starts once the payment is confirmed. The official invoice follows afterwards, through the Peppol network or by e-mail.
- Plans do not renew automatically. About 30 days before your plan ends, we send a proforma invoice with a payment link. If you do not pay, the plan ends on its end date and your account returns to the free version.
- Paid fees are not refunded, unless the law requires it or we end your plan without fault on your side (see section 10). In that case we refund the unused part.
- New prices apply from your next plan year. We announce price changes at least 30 days in advance.
- Paid plans are meant for professional use. If you still buy a plan as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days. If you ask us to start the plan straight away, you pay for the days already used.

## 8. Competitions

Competition listings are based on information published by the organisers. Always check deadlines, conditions and fees on the organiser's own website. We do not organise these competitions and are not responsible for them.

## 9. Fair use

You may not:

- copy, scrape or export profiles or contact details in bulk, whether automatically or by hand, or use them to build your own lists;
- create fake or duplicate profiles, or pretend to be someone else;
- try to get around verification, limits or payment;
- disrupt or attack the platform, or access parts you are not allowed to use;
- publish content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is hateful or discriminatory.

## 10. Suspension and closing an account

- You can close your account at any time in your account under Privacy, or by e-mailing us. We then remove your profile. What we keep afterwards, and for how long, is explained in the [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/).
- We may restrict or remove content or accounts that break these terms or the law. When we do, we tell you what we decided, why, and how you can object.
- We may stop ClassicalConnect or part of it. If that ends a paid plan early, we refund the unused part.

## 11. Reporting content

If you think a profile, listing or message is unlawful or breaks these terms, e-mail [contact@classicalconnect.eu](mailto:contact@classicalconnect.eu) with the link and a short explanation. We review every report carefully and let you know what we decided.

## 12. Liability

- We do our best to keep ClassicalConnect correct and available, but we cannot guarantee that it is always free of errors or online.
- Each user is responsible for the content of their own profile and messages. We do not check every detail, and we are not responsible for agreements, performances, payments or disputes between users.
- Our liability is limited to direct damage and, for paid plans, to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. This limit does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.

## 13. Intellectual property

The design, software, name and logo of ClassicalConnect belong to us or our licensors. You may not reuse them without our permission.

## 14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We announce important changes by e-mail or on the site at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then.

## 15. Applicable law

Belgian law applies. Disputes go to the courts of the judicial district of West Flanders (Belgium), unless mandatory law lets a consumer go to the courts of their own place of residence.
