## 1. Create a profile

A Basic profile is free. You need an e-mail address, a password and a few details about your instrument, voice type or role.

1. ### Open the join page Click [Join](/join/) in the menu and choose **Musician** or **Ensemble**.
2. ### Fill in the form Enter your name, your main instrument, voice type or role (at least one), your country and city, your e-mail address and a password of at least 8 characters. Accept the terms and, if you like, sign up for the newsletter.
3. ### Confirm your e-mail address Open the e-mail "Please confirm your e-mail address" and click the button. No e-mail? Check your spam folder, or click **Send the e-mail again** on the Overview tab of your account.
4. ### Complete your profile Add a photo and your city while you wait for approval. A photo and a few recordings tell organisers much more than a name alone.
5. ### Wait for approval Our team reviews your profile, usually within 2 working days. You get the e-mail "Your profile is approved" as soon as it is visible.

## 2. Claim a profile from Klassiek Centraal

Profiles marked "Not claimed yet" were prepared from public information on [Klassiek Centraal](https://klassiek-centraal.be). Claim yours to manage it and to receive requests.

1. ### Open the claim link Click **Claim my profile** in our invitation e-mail. No e-mail? Open your profile on ClassicalConnect, click **Is this you? Claim this profile** and request a link; we send it to the e-mail address we have on file. A claim link is valid for 60 days.
2. ### Choose a password Choose a password of at least 8 characters and accept the terms. If you already have an account with that e-mail address, log in first and open the claim link again.
3. ### Check and complete your profile You land on the Profile tab of your account. Check the details we imported and add your photo, recordings and repertoire.
4. ### Not your profile, or no interest? Reply to the invitation e-mail or write to [contact@classicalconnect.eu](mailto:contact@classicalconnect.eu), and we remove the profile.

## 3. Complete your profile

A complete profile helps organisers decide quickly. You can edit it at any time.

1. ### Open the Profile tab Log in, go to [My account](/account/) and open the **Profile** tab.
2. ### Add a photo and a short bio Upload a clear portrait or group photo, add the photo credit, and write a short bio of up to 500 characters.
3. ### Choose your instruments, voice type or roles Tick everything you perform professionally. Organisers filter on these fields, so they decide in which searches you appear.
4. ### Add recordings Paste links to YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify or SoundCloud; they play right on your profile. Basic profiles show two links, Premium profiles unlimited.
5. ### Add experience, specialisation and languages These fields appear on your profile and in the filters.
6. ### With Premium: add the extras Add a long bio, a gallery of up to 10 photos, your repertoire (composer and work) and your CV as a PDF.
7. ### Save Click save at the bottom of the form, then open your public profile to see how it looks.

## 4. Show your availability

Let organisers see at a glance when you are busy, so they ask you for the right dates.

1. ### Open the Availability tab Go to [My account › Availability](/account/?tab=availability).
2. ### Switch it on Tick **Show my availability on my profile**. Add a short note if you like, for example "Touring in Asia in March".
3. ### Add the periods when you are busy Enter a start and end date for each busy period. Days outside these periods show as available.
4. ### Save and check Save. Your profile now shows a calendar of the next 6 months. Update it when your diary changes.

## 5. Answer a request

Requests reach you by e-mail. You reply directly to the sender; ClassicalConnect does not sit in between.

1. ### Read the request The e-mail "New request from …" shows who sent it, the type of assignment, date, location, line-up, budget, repertoire and the message. Click the sender's name to see their profile.
2. ### Reply by e-mail Click **Reply by e-mail**. Your reply goes straight to the sender's e-mail address.
3. ### Agree on the details with the sender Fee, contract and practical arrangements are between you and the sender. ClassicalConnect is not a party to your agreement.
4. ### Find earlier requests All requests you received are listed under [My account › Requests](/account/?tab=requests).

Organisations

## 7. Find musicians and ensembles

Everyone can search. You need an approved account to save profiles and send requests.

1. ### Open the directory Go to [Musicians](/musicians/) or [Ensembles](/ensembles/).
2. ### Filter the results Combine filters such as instrument, voice type, role, ensemble type, country, city, experience, specialisation and language. Each filter you add narrows the list.
3. ### Open a profile Listen to the recordings, read the bio and repertoire, and check the availability calendar.
4. ### Save to your shortlist Click the bookmark icon on a card or profile. Your saved profiles are under [My account › Shortlist](/account/?tab=shortlist).

Organisations

## 8. Send a request

Send one request to a single musician, or to up to 20 profiles from your shortlist at once. Approved musicians and ensembles can send requests too.

1. ### Choose the recipients Click **Send a request** on a profile. Or open [My account › Shortlist](/account/?tab=shortlist), tick the profiles you want and send one request to all of them.
2. ### Describe the assignment Choose the type (concert, private event, corporate event, recording, teaching, substitute or other) and fill in the date, location, line-up, an indicative budget and the repertoire.
3. ### Write your message Explain in a few sentences what you are looking for. Clear requests with a date and budget get faster answers.
4. ### Send Click **Send request**. Each recipient gets an e-mail with your request, and you get a confirmation.
5. ### Wait for replies in your mailbox Musicians reply directly to your e-mail address. Your sent requests are listed under [My account › Requests](/account/?tab=requests).

Everyone

4. ### Renew About 30 days before the end date we e-mail you a proforma invoice with a payment link. Pay through the link to continue for another year. If you do not pay, your account returns to the free version on the end date.

## 10. Download or delete your data

You stay in control of your data. Both options are in your account.

1. ### Open the Privacy tab Go to [My account › Privacy](/account/?tab=privacy). You can also switch the newsletter on or off here.
2. ### Download your data Click **Download my data** to get one file (JSON) with your account, profile, shortlist, requests and payments.
3. ### Delete your account Type DELETE in the confirmation field and click **Delete my account**. Your account, profile, uploaded files, shortlist and requests are removed straight away; this cannot be undone. A running paid plan ends without a refund. We only keep invoices and payment records as long as Belgian law requires.
